Leadership update at BaltCap

As of 6 January 2026, Ege Metsandi will be leaving BaltCap, where she joined in  2024 to support the firm during a period of heightened regulatory complexity and organisational change.

During her tenure, Ege played an important role in strengthening corporate governance, enhancing regulatory readiness, and supporting the development of a more scalable and resilient operating platform.

As part of the firm’s broader transformation, a renewed support structure was established, with clearly separated risk management & compliance and financial management functions. This foundation is now in place, and the focus will be on further strengthening the platform in day-to-day operations.

We are pleased to confirm that long-time board member and founding partner Peeter Saks will assume the role of CEO, ensuring continuity of leadership and deep institutional knowledge.

Commenting on her departure, Ege Metsandi said:

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have supported BaltCap during a challenging and defining period. Working together to strengthen governance and build resilient structures has been a meaningful experience. I would like to thank the partners, colleagues, and our investors for their trust and constructive collaboration.”

We would like to thank Ege for her dedication and contribution during an important phase for the firm and wish her every success in her future endeavors.
