BaltCap’s exit from Ridango recognised as Baltic Exit Deal of the Year; Piletilevi Group’s acquisition of Ticketportal recognised as Baltic Outbound Deal of the Year

BaltCap, a leading private equity fund manager in the Baltic states, was awarded  for two transactions from its portfolio at the Baltic M&A and Private Equity Forum 2026. BaltCap’s 2025 exit from Ridango received the Baltic Exit Deal of the Year 2026 award, while portfolio company Piletilevi Group’s acquisition of Ticketportal was named Baltic Outbound Deal of the Year 2026. The awards were announced at the annual forum on 24 April 2026 and reported by leading Baltic business media.

The Baltic M&A and Private Equity Awards are presented annually at the Baltic M&A and Private Equity Forum and recognise the most strategically important, complex and value-creating transactions in the region. Winners are selected by an independent pan-Baltic panel of market professionals. The forum is organised by Sorainen and Dienas Bizness.

“These recognitions reflect what we aim to achieve as an investor – supporting ambitious companies in building scalable, international businesses and executing complex transactions that stand the test of market scrutiny. Both awards validate the quality of the underlying strategies, the work of the management teams, and the growing maturity of the Baltic private equity and technology ecosystem.”

Baltic Exit Deal of the Year 2026: BaltCap’s Exit from Ridango

BaltCap’s sale of its majority stake in Ridango to Bregal Milestone, a leading European growth equity firm headquartered in London, has been named the Baltic Exit Deal of the Year 2026. The transaction, completed in 2025, was recognised for demonstrating the ability of Baltic private equity investors to build internationally scalable businesses and execute high-quality strategic exits.

Founded in 2009, Ridango has become a global leader in intelligent transportation software, providing automated fare collection and operations control solutions to more than 150 customers in over 25 countries across five continents. With BaltCap’s support, the company built one of the world’s most advanced integrated mobility platforms and materially strengthened its position in the fast-growing public transport technology sector.

The award jury highlighted the transaction’s significance as a benchmark exit for Baltic private equity, reflecting Ridango’s transformation from a Baltic-focused company into a recognised global challenger in mobility technology.

“I would like to thank the fantastic international team at Ridango. Together we built the foundations of a global challenger. This strategic move will help the company continue on its chosen path.”

Kristjan Kalda, Partner, BaltCap

“Our partnership with Bregal Milestone marks the next step in our growth strategy. Public transportation is at the heart of sustainable urban development, and our team is committed to delivering the most advanced solutions to modernise transit networks for the future.”

Erki Lipre, Founder and CEO, Ridango

Baltic Outbound Deal of the Year 2026: Piletilevi Group’s Acquisition of Ticketportal

BaltCap portfolio company Piletilevi Group (PLG), the largest ticketing platform in the Baltics, has been awarded the Baltic Outbound Deal of the Year 2026 for its acquisition of Ticketportal, the leading ticketing company in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The deal, closed in June 2025 in Prague, significantly extended PLG’s footprint in Central Europe and brought the group’s gross merchandise value to nearly €600 million annually.

PLG now operates across seven European markets and continues to execute its strategy of uniting regional leaders to deliver the most efficient sales channels for event organisers. The award recognised the transaction’s strategic importance, cross-border complexity, and its role in demonstrating the growing international ambitions of Baltic-rooted companies.

The jury noted that PLG’s acquisition of Ticketportal is emblematic of a broader trend of Baltic companies pursuing disciplined, scalable growth outside their home markets—competing effectively across Central Europe in the entertainment and event technology sectors.

“This transaction is a natural continuation of our growth strategy. Ticketportal is a strong and trusted brand — one of the crown jewels in its region. We’re excited to welcome the team and build new success stories together.”

Sven Nuutmann, Chairman of the Management Board, Piletilevi Group

“I am very pleased to see PLG take another significant step forward in its strategic vision and growth trajectory. This transaction marks a milestone that strengthens PLG’s position as a key player in the European market.”
